Best Family Board Games
/I didn’t grow up in a big “game” family. We played outside a lot, we were pretty into art and pretend, but we never really played board games. When my husband and I were dating, he got me hooked on Scrabble and Runmmikub. When I met his parents, I understood why! Their family was a total board game family. They played scrabble, backgammon, trivial pursuit, and especially Rummikub. As we grew our own family, I knew that this was a tradition I wanted to incorporate.
Board games are such a fun way to gather your crew. Make it a habit! You’ll be so glad you did.
Don’t just take it from me. A research article in the Journal of Personality highlighted that playing board games can foster the development of emotional intelligence, as it requires understanding and managing emotions, reading social cues, and practicing good sportsmanship.
