COOKING WITH KIDS
You guys!! I am so excited to introduce you to Raddish Kids. I am a recent subscriber and my entire family is loving it. Raddish is a cooking club, culinary lesson, and mealtime solution all-in-one. Each month you get a box in the mail that contains very simple to follow directions. I love the way they lay everything out. It is so child- friendly and even my six-year-old could follow along with a little assistance. It is amazing to have an activity that all three children (ages 6, 9 and 12) can collaborate on. Even better? It ends with a delish meal for the entire family.
A REVIEW OF OUR FIRST MONTH WITH RADDISH KIDS :
First, Ruby and Dave ran to the store for ingredients. I really like how the provided grocery list is easy to read so that the child can take the lead in the supermarket. This cooking club does not send actual food. Instead, Raddish gives you the flexibility to cook when it works best for your individual family’s scheduling needs and you are not all worried about wasting ingredients that show up in the mail. This part is huge for me.
This month, the theme was Geography. While Ruby was off at the store, Nate and Sloane poked through the recipe cards and Nate ended up giving Sloane a pretty great lesson on Argentina! All three children really liked wearing their Raddish Kids aprons that were provided in the kit. It made them feel official and I loved seeing them in an apron. There are few things cuter than a child sized chef!
Our family made Patagonian Potato Salad, Steak Sandwiches with Chimichurri Sauce (so yum), and for dessert? Dulce De Leche cookies. Omg, my mouth is watering thinking about those cookies.
Nate loved being in charge of the steak. He prepped it and got it into the oven independently. When it was ready, he was pretty psyched to cut into it, especially because he learned to cut against the grain. I loved seeing him confidently handling the main portion of the meal. The girls minced and chopped, measured and poured, getting that chimichurri sauce ready to go. I overheard Ruby explaining to a very interested Sloane how to tell the difference between parsley and cilantro.
Overall, we absolutely loved our first experience with Raddish Kids cooking club and I am looking forward to see what next month’s box will bring.

UPDATE: OUR SECOND MONTH WITH RADDISH KIDS
The September box is all about that Game Day Gourmet. We made Game Day Chili, Ballpark Pretzels and the absolute favorite was the Sporty Cookie Cake, which my girls made almost independently!! This is our second month with @raddishkids, and I am even more obsessed than I was before. Once again, the recipe cards were clear and child-friendly. The shopping list was a breeze and the kids felt confident reading it in the supermarket and figuring out exactly what we’d need. I love that you get to shop for your own food, so there is no waste and you can use these boxes when it is convenient for your own family’s schedule. My little one especially loved the tool of the month, the pastry brush! She thought it was hilarious to use a ‘paintbrush’ on food when she painted the pretzels with baking soda and water.
Last month, I was excited to hear from so many of you that you already LOVE and use Raddish. If you haven’t tried it yet, and you would like to, you can use the Promo Code: WORKSPACE for $15 off a 6-month membership. CLICK HERE to go to the website.
